‘half awake and half asleep in the water’ by asako narahashi
the series ‘half awake and half asleep in the water’ features photos taken on the coasts of japan since 2000. standing half in water or swimming narahashi photographed people and symbols that characterize japan such as fuji mountain and its connection to water. the exhibition shows a selection of color photographs from the series as well as unpublished black and white photographs.
